EZsplitter™ is an active video splitter, with several applications:

• Dividing a video stream to multiple display devices, and
• Converting a video stream to multiple, different video formats.

If your image generator is creating content for multiple display devices, the EZsplitter™ can separate out and re-format individual video windows within the stream to drive different display devices, as shown below:

If you need to drive multiple formats, that is no problem, because EZsplitter™ supports the following video formats on both the input and output:

• RS-343
• RS-170
• NTSC
• STANAG
• DVI-I (TMDS and analog RGB)
• Component Video

EZsplitter™ supports up to 4 output boards. You order exactly the configuration that works for you! For applications requiring more than 4 outputs, the EZsplitter™ supplies a control and video repeater output for additional, downstream EZsplitter™ devices.

Our EZsplitter™ configuration software allows you to logically set up the unit for your unique application. After defining the incoming video format, the user defines for each output channel the input video area of interest (AOI), the placement of the AOI within the active area, and the outgoing video format. The remaining active area can be filled with a selectable background color.
