Westar Display
Technologies adds new interface to
T-DriveTM Model II
Quad-LVDS interface is used on many
high-resolution specialty panels
ST. LOUIS, Jan
24, 2008 –
Westar Display Technologies, Inc., a
supplier of universal testers for
TFT panels, has introduced a new
option for the T-DriveTM Model II.
The T-DriveTM Model II generates
most of the common electrical
formats for TFT panels on the market
today. The new Quad-LVDS output card
is now offered for panels with
Single, Dual, or Quad LVDS
electrical interfaces.
Key features of
the Quad LVDS output card include:
- up to 10 bits per color
- 1, 2, or 4 pixels per clock
- 8 to 135MHz clock frequency
(effectively up to 270M pixels/sec)
- up to WQXGA resolutions
Currently, two (2)
4-pixel raster formats are supported
by the Quad LVDS card, including:
- a left half /
right half approach, where
pixels A and B are written to
the left half of the screen and
pixels C and D are written to
the right half of the screen,
and
- a
left-to-right approach, where
pixels are written consecutively
across the screen, in groups of
4 pixels (ABCD).
The Quad LVDS
output card is available in new T-DriveTM
Model II units, as well as an
upgrade to already fielded Model
II’s.
