Westar Display Technologies Introduces QuickTest^TM for Quality Assessment of Small Displays

Enables customers to test up to 100% of displays

ST. LOUIS, May 26, 2006 – Westar Display Technologies, Inc., a global supplier of quality assurance test solutions for the flat panel display market, has introduced a new high speed measurement system for assuring display quality of cell phones and other devices using small displays.

QuickTest^TM measures the front-of-screen performance of small displays with a tact time of less than 30 seconds for most display types. At this speed, the system enables Westar customers to test up to 100% of their displays, versus only sampled testing with former time-consuming methods.

Tests performed by QuickTest^TM include: brightness, contrast, color, uniformity, cross-talk, color gamut, flicker, response time, gamma, and many more standard and optional tests. The system is capable of testing most small displays on the market today.

The QuickTest^TM will be demonstrated at SID 2006 and the SID Mobile Displays 2006.
