LD - 400TM

The LD-400™ converts between LVDS and DVI electrical formats. The unit can be used in conjunction with EZscan™ to support both electrical level and timing format changes.

The LD-400 has the following input / output interfaces:

  • DVI-I (common flat panel monitor interface),

  • LVDS Serial (used in LCD panel interfaces),

  • LVDS Serial MDR-26 (used in CameraLink applications), and

  • LVDS Parallel Differential (camera applications)

Control of the box is achieved via the RS-232 interface and accompanying LD-400 configuration software.

The LD400 can be used in a number of applications. Below is a list of popular uses:

Convert a digital video input to an analog video output

DVI analog in, DVI digital out

Convert an analog video input to a digital video output

DVI in, LVDS serial and DVI out

Input standard video from a PC to drive an LVDS display. The DVI output can be connected to a monitor to view the video

DVI in, LVDS Camera Link and DVI out (Note 1)

Input standard video from a PC to drive a Camera Link device. The DVI output can be connected to a monitor to view the video

LVDS serial in, LVDS serial and DVI out

Input serial LVDS video from a source to drive an LCD display, output serial LVDS to drive the LCD. The DVI output can be connected to a monitor to view the video

LVDS Camera Link in, LVDS Camera Link and DVI out (Note 1)

Input LVDS Camera Link video, output LVDS Camera Link video and DVI. The DVI output can be connected to a monitor to view the Camera Link video.

LVDS parallel differential in, LVDS parallel differential and DVI out

Input parallel differential LVDS video source, output parallel differential LVDS. The DVI output can be connected to a monitor to view the video

The standard unit is a benchtop configuration.  Rack-mount accessories are available.

LVDS to DVI Converter Board

For embedded applications, Westar offers a LVDS to DVI converter board. This product is popular for converting LVDS video intended for an LCD panel to DVI video to be displayed on a LCD monitor.
