Large Area TV Panels or Rear Projection TVs

Westar’s FPM-530/530-FO Systems perform full optical characterization on large area displays up to 85” in diagonal.
The FPM-530 uses a goniometer to achieve viewing angle measurements (DUT rotates) whereas the FPM-530-FO uses a gimbaled fiber optic probe to make measurements (DUT remains fixed during test) and is ideal for RP-TVs.

These fully integrated 5-axis systems include the system controller PC and our powerful ViewPoint™ software. These systems are used to perform DisplaySearch’s TV Performance Report testing.

Standard System Features
• ViewPoint™ software
• Manual & Automatic
  system control
• Custom test sequences
• Excel data reports
• Spot Tracking algorithm
• On-site installation & set-up
• On-site classroom training
• On-site lab training
• 1 year technical support
• 1 year ViewPoint™ upgrades
• 1 year limited warranty

Medium Sized Flat Panels or Finished Displays

Westar’s medium-sized display measurement systems perform full optical characterization on displays up to 50” in diagonal. These industry workhorses excel at standardized optical measurement suites such as the VESA FPDM suite, TCO ‘99/’03/’05 tests, ISO 13406-2, and Dell’s Vendor Self Qualification (VSQ) Optical Characterization and “Appendix A” report.

The FPM-510 is well suited for deep and heavy LRUs (ruggedized / avionics displays) and MIL-L-85762A testing.  Click here to download a brochure featuring FPM special capabilities related to ruggedized / avionics displays.  The FPM-520 is perfect for notebooks, monitors, and LCD TVs. The FPM-520-FO, with its gimbaled optical probe, allows the DUT to remain stationary during test – and is available in a thermal chamber version.

Our FPM systems are built on our powerful ViewPoint™ software which supports both manual and automatic system control. All popular Light Measurement Devices (LMDs) and test pattern generators are supported. Choose from a rich options list to optimize the system configuration and software per your unique requirements.

Cell Phone / Small Format Displays

QuickTest™ is our small format display QC test system that verifies critical optical
performance parameters of the display in an easy to use automated fashion.
A complete test suite is typically completed in less than 30 seconds.

QuickTest™ employs three sensors: CCD camera, Spectrometer, and TRD-100A - each optimized for specific measurement tasks. The system includes automated tray handling and probing, editable test definitions, and supporting statistical and data base functions for production QA/QC.

Westar offers a tooling solution, called New Display Tooling, to enable your display to be tested on the QuickTest™.

Standard Measurement Suite

• Brightness
• Contrast
• White point color
• Uniformity
• Color Gamut
• Color Saturation
• Flicker
• Response time
• Cross-talk
• Voltage and Current (optional)
