Why the VP6?
The VP6 video adapter is the ideal solution to digitize analog video and drive most
LCD panels on the market today.
Because the VP6 does not support re-sizing and frame rate
conversion, the output pixel clock must equal the input pixel clock,
and the output frame rate is locked to the input frame rate. The VP6
supports advanced features such as a programmable image position
within a larger background area for your selected area of interest
in the input stream. Other features include digital contrast and
brightness adjustments, incoming video gain and offset adjustments,
and control signals and power for your backlight inverter. The VP6
supports up to UXGA inputs and outputs. The compact size (4.00" x
5.00") and low power consumption makes this a great LCD
controller board for
your embedded application. The VP6 includes an onboard LVDS
interface to drive your LVDS panel.

VP6configure™
The VP6configure™ software gives you complete control to set up the VP6
for your application. The software installs on your Windows XP PC and
communicates to the VP6 through a com port on the PC. The software
includes a wizard that steps you through five areas of setup, including:
Input/Output setup, AOI Positioning, Power Sequencing, Contrast and
Brightness setup, and finally input capture adjustments. The image on
the right show the Input / Output graphical user interface.
Once the configuration is defined, it can be saved permanently to
non-volatile memory in the VP6.
VP6configure™ software is available to all VP6 customers. |
