A video rotator is used for real-time rotation of a
video source. Our EZrotate™
can rotate either a specified area of interest (AOI)
within the active area of the video, or an entire active area, in some multiple of 90
degrees. Video rotation is useful in many specialty applications,
including accommodating panels, monitors, or projectors that must be
turned on their side for mechanical reasons, yet the image must
still be viewed in the normal orientation.
The EZrotate™ video rotator supports 90, 180, and 270 degree video
rotation for formats up to UXGA.
For systems requiring both video rotation and other functions, such
as re-sizing or mixing, we recommend use of the EZrotate™ in
conjunction with our other video box products. By using the digital
output (DVI / TMDS) of the EZrotate™ and the digital input of our
other box products, you can avoid excessive D/A and A/D artifacts.
The EZrotate™ supports analog and digital RGB inputs
and outputs. It supports
rotation of non-interlaced video only.
