109595 DVI Frame Grabber
The DVI Frame Grabber provides in-circuit frame grab capabilities for single link DVI video streams. It supports video I/O up to 1280×1024 at 60Hz and transmits captured frames via USB2.0.
The DVI Frame Grabber is supported with utility software to allow in-the-field firmware and FPGA updates. We also supply Linux and Windows drivers to allow easy interfacing to the card via a USB interface.
Features
Supports DVI video up to SXGA
Supports up to 108 MPixel/sec pixel rates and resolutions up to 1280×1024 @ 60Hz
Transmit captured frames over USB 2.0
Captured frames are uploaded via USB 2.0 as bitmaps
Area-of-interest control (Crop)
Select the area-of-interest (full screen or user-defined window) to capture from the DVI input video feed
Two video output modes
Video output can be either a pass-through of the video input or a static display of the most recent frame grabbed
Applications
Simulated cockpit displays
Configurable video electronics for simulated cockpit displays
Embedded applications
With its low-profile design and locking high-density Hirose connectors, the DVIgrabber is ideal for space-constrained applications
Custom video solutions
Perfect for applications that require a configurable frame capture card
Selectable video output modes

Live-Video Output Mode
Live video is a pass-through of the input video. In this mode, the DVI Frame Grabber inputs a DVI stream, grabs frames and uploads via USB, while repeating the DVI input on the DVI output port.
Static Output Mode
Static mode shows the last frame grabbed. In this mode, the DVI Frame Grabber inputs a DVI stream, grabs a frame, uploads the frame via USB, while driving the captured frame on the DVI output.
For Embedded Applications
The DVI Frame Grabber card has a low-profile design and utilizes locking high-density Hirose connectors making it easy to embed into your product.
With pre-loaded parameters, the DVI Frame Grabber can be configured for your particular application. In addition, it can be dynamically controlled and updated.
Area-of-Interest Control
Define the file structure and area-of-interest (AOI) of the input frame to be transmitted over USB. You can also select border colors to fill around the AOI when using the DVI output.
For example, a 600×600 pixel area can be captured from a 1024×768 source. The 600×600 will be transmitted out the USB, while a 1024×768 area consisting of the 600×600 AIO plus the border is sent out the DVI connector.
Configurable
We also supply Linux and Windows drivers to allow easy interfacing to the DVI Frame Grabber via the USB interface. Commands are defined in the Command Line description and are outlined in the DVI Frame Grabber brochure.
